Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Day In May by Li Guijun was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,340,000.00 (€ 130,566.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Li Guijun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 140 Art Studio in December 2013 with an auction result of CNY 7,080,000.00 (€ 848,839.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Day In May von Li Guijun kam im April 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.340.000,00 (€ 130.566,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Guijun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 140 Art Studio im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 7.080.000,00 (€ 848.839,54).
