Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Roses by Li Shih Chiao was sold in the Modern Asian Art – Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. The price achieved of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 48,152.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Shih Chiao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unknown in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,400,000.00 (€ 321,554.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Roses von Li Shih Chiao wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Modern Asian Art – Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 48.152,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Shih Chiao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unknown im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.400.000,00 (€ 321.554,25).
