Upper estimate price exceeded by 37 %.
The work 2016.06 by Liang Yuanwei was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. It achieved a price of HKD 3,024,000.00 (€ 334,932.60), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 37%. Admittedly, works by Liang Yuanwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Styx River in May this year with an auction result of HKD 14,895,000.00 (€ 1,785,330.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit 2016.06 von Liang Yuanwei kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 3.024.000,00 (€ 334.932,60) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 37%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Yuanwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Styx River im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.895.000,00 (€ 1.785.330,86).
