Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Notre Dame by Liao Chi-Chun. It changed hands for a price of HKD 1,912,000.00 (€ 185,418.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 1,600,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liao Chi-Chun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Garden in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 35,047,500.00 (€ 2,885,337.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Notre Dame von Liao Chi-Chun zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 1.912.000,00 (€ 185.418,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.600.000,00 – 2.000.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liao Chi-Chun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Garden im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 35.047.500,00 (€ 2.885.337,24).
