Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Airmail Letter by Liliane Klapisch was auctioned at Christies in Tel Aviv in April 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 12,000.00 – 16,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 10,800.00 (€ 8,555.13). Other works by Liliane Klapisch have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2009 by the work without title at USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,673.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Airmail Letter von Liliane Klapisch im April 2006 bei Christies in Tel Aviv versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 16.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 10.800,00 (€ 8.555,13) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Liliane Klapisch wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2009 die Arbeit ohne Titel mit USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.673,34).
