The work Forest by Lin Kai was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in September 2019. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,604.77), 35% above the upper estimate. Other works by Lin Kai have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,760.32) in July 2020 for the work Luohans and Tiger.
