This price was achieved in the auction Elegant GatheringsThe Social Art of Chinese Scholars at Bonhams in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 10,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Linxi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lin Xi | Light over shadow, which sold at auction in July last year for HKD 100,800.00 (€ 12,577.77).
