In December this year Artcurial held the auction Twenty One Contemporary, which included the work N°04 of Hiding In America - 2011 by Liu Bolin. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,560.00 31% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Liu Bolin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Hand in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 73,000.00 (€ 46,915.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Twenty One Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit N°04 of Hiding In America - 2011 von Liu Bolin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.560,00 und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Bolin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Hand im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 46.915,17).
