Auction result well in line with expectations
The work MISTY FIELD IN THE GREEN RAIN by Liu Jiutong was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 25,691.97) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Jiutong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mountain Against Island in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 166,104.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit MISTY FIELD IN THE GREEN RAIN von Liu Jiutong wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 25.691,97) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Jiutong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mountain Against Island im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 166.104,90).
