In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Art Day Sale, which included the work Composition by Liu Kuo-Sung. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 504,000.00 (€ 59,835.62), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Kuo-Sung achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Trajectory of the Planet in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,800,000.00 (€ 1,838,152.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition von Liu Kuo-Sung zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 59.835,62) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Kuo-Sung erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Trajectory of the Planet im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.800.000,00 (€ 1.838.152,17).
