Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The End of Baroque by Liu Ye was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in October this year. The price achieved of HKD 22,230,000.00 (€ 2,688,298.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 18,000,000.00 – 28,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Ye - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Smoke, which sold at auction in October 2019 for HKD 52,182,000.00 (€ 5,964,325.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The End of Baroque von Liu Ye wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 22.230.000,00 (€ 2.688.298,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 18.000.000,00 – 28.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Ye mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Smoke beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für HKD 52.182.000,00 (€ 5.964.325,41) versteigert wurde.
