Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Piscina Arena by Los Carpinteros was sold in the Art in Focus auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,612.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Los Carpinteros - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sala De Lectura Origami, which sold at auction in May 2016 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 44,903.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Piscina Arena von Los Carpinteros wurde im September 2012 in der Auktion Art in Focus bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 13.612,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Los Carpinteros mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sala De Lectura Origami beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 44.903,46) versteigert wurde.
