The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,264.25), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Wain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Come Birdie Come and Live with Me in November this year with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 44,497.25).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.264,25) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Wain erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Come Birdie Come and Live with Me im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 44.497,25).
