Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Asian Art, which included the work The Man And The Sea by Lu Qi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,562.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Lu Qi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2014 the work Rise And Fall Of The Tides was auctioned for HKD 937,500.00 (€ 96,518.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Man And The Sea von Lu Qi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.562,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Lu Qi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2014 die Arbeit Rise And Fall Of The Tides für HKD 937.500,00 (€ 96.518,36) versteigert.
