Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Empty Valley At Sunset by Lu Zhi. The price achieved of USD 225,000.00 (€ 200,391.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lu Zhi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The South Marsh, which sold at auction in November 2021 for HKD 5,625,000.00 (€ 625,442.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Empty Valley At Sunset von Lu Zhi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 200.391,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 180.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Lu Zhi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The South Marsh beobachtet, die im November 2021 für HKD 5.625.000,00 (€ 625.442,99) versteigert wurde.
