The work New York by Luca Pignatelli was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Milan in May 2011. The price achieved of EUR 36,080.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Other works by Luca Pignatelli have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2013 the work Afroditesigned, Titled And Dated 2007 On The Reverse; Oil On Canvas was auctioned for EUR 39,900.00.
