Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction The Scandinavian Sale, which included the work Norwegian Fru Godseier Langaard Til Hest (Mrs Langaard On Horseback) by Ludvig Karsten. It changed hands for a price of GBP 42,500.00 (€ 54,061.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Other works by Ludvig Karsten have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2007 the work I Tanker (In Thoughts) was auctioned for GBP 72,000.00 (€ 106,844.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Scandinavian Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Norwegian Fru Godseier Langaard Til Hest (Mrs Langaard On Horseback) von Ludvig Karsten zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 42.500,00 (€ 54.061,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Ludvig Karsten konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2007 die Arbeit I Tanker (In Thoughts) für GBP 72.000,00 (€ 106.844,38) versteigert.
