Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October last year Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale, which included the work Winged Figures II by Lynn Chadwick. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 81,900.00 (€ 95,412.59). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lynn Chadwick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jubilee IV in November this year with an auction result of USD 3,317,000.00 (€ 3,040,887.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Winged Figures II von Lynn Chadwick zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 81.900,00 (€ 95.412,59) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lynn Chadwick erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jubilee IV im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.317.000,00 (€ 3.040.887,42).
