Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October this year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Meadow Aside by Lynne Drexler. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 3,500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 3,556,000.00 (€ 430,031.04). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lynne Drexler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Herbert's Garden, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,397,819.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Meadow Aside von Lynne Drexler zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 3.500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 3.556.000,00 (€ 430.031,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Lynne Drexler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Herbert's Garden beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 1.500.000,00 (€ 1.397.819,40) versteigert wurde.
