Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Not So Faraway From Here by M. Irfan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2021. The price achieved of HKD 75,600.00 (€ 8,194.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by M. Irfan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jangan Pernah Lupakan Sejarah (Never Forget the History) in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 740,000.00 (€ 77,088.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Not So Faraway From Here von M. Irfan kam im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 75.600,00 (€ 8.194,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von M. Irfan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jangan Pernah Lupakan Sejarah (Never Forget the History) im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 740.000,00 (€ 77.088,32).
