This artwork by Macario Vitalis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2010. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Gladiators sold for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,105.11) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Admittedly, works by Macario Vitalis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2018 with an auction result of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,108.45).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Macario Vitalis erzielte im März 2010 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Gladiators für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.105,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Macario Vitalis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.108,45).
