Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Space Knife by Makoto Aida for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 82,959.72). This price was achieved in the auction Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 900,000.00 – 1,200,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Makoto Aida - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work ZAKU- (War Picture Returns- Side B), which sold at auction in November 2009 for HKD 2,900,000.00 (€ 249,499.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Space Knife von Makoto Aida für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 82.959,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 900.000,00 – 1.200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Makoto Aida mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ZAKU- (War Picture Returns- Side B) beobachtet, die im November 2009 für HKD 2.900.000,00 (€ 249.499,80) versteigert wurde.
