The work Jacqueline Goddard by Man Ray was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in November this year. It achieved a price of USD 10,880.00 (€ 9,974.33), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 36%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Man Ray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Violon d'Ingres, 1924 in May last year with an auction result of USD 12,412,500.00 (€ 11,566,955.55).

Die Arbeit Jacqueline Goddard von Man Ray kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.880,00 (€ 9.974,33) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Man Ray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Violon d'Ingres, 1924 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.412.500,00 (€ 11.566.955,55).
