Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Leaf Tree and Moon by Man Ray was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 5,120.00 (€ 4,693.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Man Ray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Violon d'Ingres, 1924 in May last year with an auction result of USD 12,412,500.00 (€ 11,566,955.55).
