Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rayograph (Hand With Switch And Cord), 1930 by Man Ray was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in London in May 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 131,200.00 (€ 191,509.27). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Man Ray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Violon d'Ingres, 1924 in May last year with an auction result of USD 12,412,500.00 (€ 11,566,955.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rayograph (Hand With Switch And Cord), 1930 von Man Ray wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 131.200,00 (€ 191.509,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Man Ray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Violon d'Ingres, 1924 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.412.500,00 (€ 11.566.955,55).
