Auction result well in line with expectations
The work El Paso by Mario Dubsky was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 812.50 (€ 957.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mario Dubsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In the Dark Descent, which sold at auction in October 2005 for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,539.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit El Paso von Mario Dubsky kam im Februar 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 957,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Mario Dubsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In the Dark Descent beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.539,27) versteigert wurde.
