Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Barquitos de papel by Mario Segundo Pérez was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,711.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mario Segundo Pérez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nochecita estrellada, which sold at auction in November 2000 for USD 28,200.00 (€ 32,436.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Barquitos de papel von Mario Segundo Pérez kam im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.711,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Mario Segundo Pérez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nochecita estrellada beobachtet, die im November 2000 für USD 28.200,00 (€ 32.436,16) versteigert wurde.
