In May 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Inmigrantes II by Mario Segundo Pérez. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,696.90), 38% above the upper estimate. Other works by Mario Segundo Pérez have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 28,200.00 (€ 32,436.16) in November 2000 for the work Nochecita estrellada.
