This artwork by Mario Segundo Pérez achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in August 2020. In the Latin American Art Online auction, the work Pescadores sold for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,854.39) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mario Segundo Pérez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nochecita estrellada in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 28,200.00 (€ 32,436.16).
