Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled, 2006 by Mark Jenkins for USD 357.00 (€ 332.68). This price was achieved in the auction The Art of _Supporting The Laurel Foundation at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Jenkins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Till Death Do Us Part - 2014 in October 2018 with an auction result of EUR 15,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled, 2006 von Mark Jenkins für USD 357,00 (€ 332,68) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Art of _Supporting The Laurel Foundation bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Jenkins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Till Death Do Us Part - 2014 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.600,00.
