Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2018 Christies in Paris held the auction POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY ART Paris, Evening Sale (Including CONSORTIUM: 40 YEARS), which included the work Béatrice (titre bleu) by Martial Raysse. The price achieved of EUR 703,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Martial Raysse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'année dernière à Capri (titre exotique) (Last Year in Capri (Exotic Title)) in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 4,073,250.00 (€ 4,797,947.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2018 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY ART Paris, Evening Sale (Including CONSORTIUM: 40 YEARS) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Béatrice (titre bleu) von Martial Raysse zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 703.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martial Raysse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'année dernière à Capri (titre exotique) (Last Year in Capri (Exotic Title)) im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.073.250,00 (€ 4.797.947,71).
