Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2008 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Kaleidoscope 1967 by Martin Engelman. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 867.00 24% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martin Engelman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans titre, which sold at auction in July 2010 for EUR 2,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2008 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kaleidoscope 1967 von Martin Engelman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 867,00 und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Martin Engelman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans titre beobachtet, die im Juli 2010 für EUR 2.500,00 versteigert wurde.
