Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2000 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century Art, which included the work La Cathédrale de Notre-Dame de Paris by Maurice Ghiglion-Green. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,035.00 (€ 1,721.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Ghiglion-Green - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paris, La Place De Vosges, which sold at auction in February 2013 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,517.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Cathédrale de Notre-Dame de Paris von Maurice Ghiglion-Green zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.035,00 (€ 1.721,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice Ghiglion-Green mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paris, La Place De Vosges beobachtet, die im Februar 2013 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.517,39) versteigert wurde.
