Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work A river landscape by Maurice Levis for GBP 812.50 (€ 989.00). This price was achieved in the auction European Noble & Private Collections Including Fine Tapestries Part II at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Levis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Dinandier, Constantine in December 2013 with an auction result of EUR 25,980.00.

Im April 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A river landscape von Maurice Levis für GBP 812,50 (€ 989,00) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion European Noble & Private Collections Including Fine Tapestries Part II bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice Levis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Dinandier, Constantine im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.980,00.
