This artwork by Maurice Levis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2009. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Laveuse au bord de la Yonne sold for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,974.06) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Levis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Dinandier, Constantine in December 2013 with an auction result of EUR 25,980.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurice Levis erzielte im Dezember 2009 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Laveuse au bord de la Yonne für GBP 1.750,00 (€ 1.974,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice Levis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Dinandier, Constantine im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.980,00.
