Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Le souk devant la mosquée – Tunis by Maurice Levis was sold in the A Moroccan Winter Majorelle & his contemporaries Modern & Contemporary Moroccan and International Art auction at Artcurial in Marrakech in December 2020. Here, the upper estimate of MAD 33,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for MAD 36,400.00 (€ 3,184.63). Admittedly, works by Maurice Levis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Dinandier, Constantine in December 2013 with an auction result of EUR 25,980.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Le souk devant la mosquée – Tunis von Maurice Levis wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion A Moroccan Winter Majorelle & his contemporaries Modern & Contemporary Moroccan and International Art bei Artcurial in Marrakesch versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von MAD 33.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für MAD 36.400,00 (€ 3.184,63) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Levis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Dinandier, Constantine im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.980,00.
