However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mawalan Marika - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Seagull, which sold at auction in December 2019 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 50,102.43).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 43.200,00 (€ 24.458,20) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Für andere Arbeiten von Mawalan Marika mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Seagull beobachtet, die im Dezember 2019 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 50.102,43) versteigert wurde.
