Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fleur coquillage by Max Ernst was sold in the REGARDS CROISÉS : COLLECTION JEAN-FRANÇOIS & MARIE-ALINE PRAT - EVENING SALE auction at Christies in Paris in October 2017. It changed hands for a price of EUR 137,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Ernst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le roi jouant avec la reine in November last year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000.00 (€ 23,670,444.64).

Die Arbeit Fleur coquillage von Max Ernst wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion REGARDS CROISÉS : COLLECTION JEAN-FRANÇOIS & MARIE-ALINE PRAT - EVENING SALE bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 137.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Ernst erzielen.
