Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Fleurs-coquillages by Max Ernst was sold in the Contemporary Art | Milan auction at Sothebys in Milan in May 2021. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 126,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Ernst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le roi jouant avec la reine in November last year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000.00 (€ 23,670,444.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Fleurs-coquillages von Max Ernst wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art | Milan bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 126.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Ernst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le roi jouant avec la reine im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.435.000,00 (€ 23.670.444,64).
