Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Petite tortue sur socle rond by Max Ernst. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,013 (€ 6,129), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Ernst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le roi jouant avec la reine in November this year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000 (€ 21,355,532).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Petite tortue sur socle rond von Max Ernst zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.013 (€ 6.129) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Ernst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le roi jouant avec la reine im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.435.000 (€ 21.355.532).
