Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bildnis Charlotte Cuhrt by Max Pechstein was sold in the ExpressionismGermany, Austria and Beyond auction at Bonhams in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 630,300.00 (€ 730,373.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Max Pechstein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Weib mit Inder auf Teppich (Vorderseite), Früchte II (Rückseite) in December 2011 with an auction result of EUR 3,480,000.00.
