Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Meguru Yamaguchi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2021. In the Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale auction, the work Soul Flight No.3 sold for HKD 441,000.00 (€ 47,904.03) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Meguru Yamaguchi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rd No.6 (Executed In 2018), which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 144,000.00 (€ 147,052.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Meguru Yamaguchi erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Soul Flight No.3 für HKD 441.000,00 (€ 47.904,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Meguru Yamaguchi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rd No.6 (Executed In 2018) beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 144.000,00 (€ 147.052,17) versteigert wurde.
