Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape by Mei Qing. The price achieved of HKD 176,400.00 (€ 19,622.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mei Qing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scenes Of Mt. Huang in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 3,440,000.00 (€ 401,883.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Mei Qing zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 176.400,00 (€ 19.622,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mei Qing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scenes Of Mt. Huang im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.440.000,00 (€ 401.883,72).
