Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Red Carnation In A Glass Vase; And A White Flower In A Glass Vase by Michel Dureuil was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2004, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 179.25 (€ 140.63). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michel Dureuil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le port d'Antibes in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,912.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Red Carnation In A Glass Vase; And A White Flower In A Glass Vase von Michel Dureuil im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 179,25 (€ 140,63) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michel Dureuil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le port d'Antibes im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.912,76).
