This artwork by Modest Cuixart achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in April last year. In the Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century auction, the work El Sublim Tránsfuga sold for USD 1,260.00 (€ 1,195.79) - well above the upper estimate of USD 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Modest Cuixart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Brufungles in March 2018 with an auction result of EUR 37,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Modest Cuixart erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century wurde die Arbeit El Sublim Tránsfuga für USD 1.260,00 (€ 1.195,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Modest Cuixart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Brufungles im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.500,00.
