The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500,000.00 – 700,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 542,500.00 (€ 692,694.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Neo Rauch have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2015 the work Bon Si was auctioned for GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,357,112.92).
