In the Furniture and Old Master Paintings, Silver, Clocks, Musical Instruments, Historia, Carpets and Textiles, Old Master Drawings and Prints auction, the work Crucifixion with Saint Francis sold for EUR 45,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Niccolò di Tommaso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A triptych: central panel: The Madonna and Child Enthroned, with saints and Christ Blessing; the wings: The Annunciation; The Nativity; and The Crucifixion in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 631,500.00 (€ 579,623.68).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Niccolò di Tommaso erzielen.
