Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Métamorphose by Nicolaas Warb. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,875.00 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolaas Warb - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fonction Vitale, 1940, which sold at auction in March 2011 for EUR 5,355.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Métamorphose von Nicolaas Warb zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.875,00 und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicolaas Warb mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fonction Vitale, 1940 beobachtet, die im März 2011 für EUR 5.355,00 versteigert wurde.
