Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Cow drinking by Nicolaes Pietersz. Berchem was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,691.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolaes Pietersz. Berchem achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Enfance De Jupiter in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 361,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Cow drinking von Nicolaes Pietersz. Berchem kam im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.691,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolaes Pietersz. Berchem erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'Enfance De Jupiter im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 361.000,00.
