In September 2004 Christies in Paris held the auction INTERIEURS, which included the work Paysage Animé by Nicolas Victor Fonville. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 881.25 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nicolas Victor Fonville have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures conversing at a fishing village in September 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,489.85).

Im September 2004 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion INTERIEURS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paysage Animé von Nicolas Victor Fonville zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 881,25 und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolas Victor Fonville auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures conversing at a fishing village im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.489,85).
